My Favorite Gold Camera

My favorite gold camera right now is hands down the Canon PowerShot SD7801S. In addition to a burnished gold color the camera has 12.1 mega pixels and 3x optical image stabilized zoom. This camera is tiny and will fit in your handbag, wallet or pocket.  Click the picture below for more information about this fabulous camera.

Gold Camera Case

It's difficult to find a matching gold case for the Canon but I found something that will work. This adorable Marc Jacob gold coin case is the perfect size for the Canon camera and is made to be very sturdy.

How To Choose A Digital Camera

There are two types of digital cameras: compact point and shoot and single lens reflex (SLR). Choosing between the two types is easier than you might think.  SLR cameras are heavier than compact cameras but they give you the ability to change lenses and to shoot in difficult conditions.

Compact digital cameras allow you to point and shoot because most of these cameras have the ability to change the settings automatically to adjust to shooting conditions.  The downside is that difficult conditions may result in unsatisfactory pictures.

Consider your life style before choosing a camera and how you will use it.  Obviously, if you are taking photographs at a wedding you might want a SLR.  If you're on vacation in a sunny climate, hiking or mountain climbing then you need a lightweight camera.  The compact digital cameras are perfect for this type of use.

Some features you may want in a new camera are optical zoom lenses, a stabilizer, extra memory cards, an extra battery and software that will work with your computer.  Always choose the most expensive camera you can afford because you will get better pictures and your camera is less likely to become obsolete overnight!
